Dear Fighters, 

New App Version 3.0.0:

Two years ago, we launched our app as a proof of concept to see how many of you would use it on a daily basis. The layout was mostly technical and functional, and more components got glued on over time.

Now we took the time and invested the money to have the app professionally redesigned, and the result is now live in your App Store or Play Store with the Version 3.0 update.

But this update brings much more than better looks and improved intuitiveness. The interactive map, the first part of the What's New page with picture section, future opponents, meetup page, more search options, and many smaller changes and bug fixes are all part of it.

We also added a new authentication system behind the scenes. Now, the app will sign you in securely and seamlessly on the main site if a link points to a part of the site not yet available in the app. No more logging in again when you follow such a link.

Server Migration Complete: 

New Home for MeetFighters!

Some of you might remember the MeetFighters outage back in March 2024. 

As we promised, we took action. Performance issues you may have noticed in April to June were still happening while we were on the old provider. But that’s now behind us. Last month, we completed the move to a new provider and data center. The migration was smooth, and ever since, MeetFighters has been running perfectly. 

To ensure we’re even better prepared for the future, we’ve also set up a hot standby system, hosted by another company in another country, that mirrors the main server in real-time and can take over instantly if needed. (Well, with the push of a button, so someone still has to be awake for that.) 

New Merch!

We’ve finally updated our Merch Shop with three brand new MeetFighters-themed designs after WresteFest Berlin and before Folsom.

If you grab one, you get a cool shirt, but also support MeetFighters directly. If the usual perks of a contribution aren’t your thing, maybe we can tempt you with a cool shirt? Every shirt helps us cover rising server costs and supports the community in more ways than you might realize. 

Over the past year, we’ve reinvested across all our platforms, putting more than $50,000 directly into community events, such as WrestleFest worldwide. These events require significant time and effort from organizers and helpers, but also need genuine financial backing to continue growing and remaining accessible to everyone. 

So if you feel like showing some love for the site, the sport, and the people behind it…

Folsom 2025 in Berlin 

And speaking of events, as mentioned, MeetFighters & WatchFighters will be at Folsom 2025 in Berlin. Folsom is a non-profit organization that stands up for the rights and visibility of all fetishes, including our fighting fetish. We are happy that our local event organiser, SlovakLeo, has agreed to take on the entertainment coordination and help us create a performance at our booth and even on the stage. We invite all our members to come by and visit us on Saturday, August 30th, between 10:00 and 22:00 in Berlin.
