I just had a wrestling session with a new guy. He's not on Meetfighters, though I hope he does sign up someday. He answered my CL ad. He was 70 lbs lighter than I was, admitted he had never wrestled before, and doesn't work out. When we stripped down I noticed his 150 lb frame was nothing but pure muscle. When I told him to try to take me down, boy, DID HE EVER take me down. I showed him some moves and he used some on me that I didn't teach him. YIKES! Was I being conned? Or was he just a natural at it? I see no point in him conning me. He wasn't trying to rob me or take my money or place a bet. So I think he's a natural. I sure hope he is able to wrestle some more in the future. Unfortunately, like most married wrestlers, his wife doesn't know. So it could be months before I see him again. Anyway, I am so glad I had a brief time of wrestling with the small, yet strong and scrappy, "Mario".
My 750th

Since I began wrestling in July 2011, I began keeping records of how many matches I have had. Last night I had an "all nighter" with a wrestling bro. He lives 4 hours away, so every once in a while we meet at a hotel halfway between our homes. When we do this, I count our wrestling in the evening then the wrestling we do first thing in the morning as a second match. Anyway, our morning match was to be my 750th match since I started almost six years ago.
That evening we had the usual agenda, some intense wrestling, go out for a bite, make a video, then a massage, then bed (for sleeping). I'm a fairly light sleeper with an internal alarm clock that awakens me most mornings and this morning was no exception. So this morning I wake up and see the clock reading 5:45 a.m. Hmmmmm, I knew I needed to start wrestling. I wanted him to be my 750th, he is a special wrestling bro and friend, but he's sleeping peacefully and I'm groggy....we got to wrestle, we got to do it soon....come on....let's get going....yawn.......finally 5:53...I reach over and grab his pec and nip...he moans...HE'S UP! Match 750 is on!
For the next hour we are putting each other in holds, subduing each other, and doing some cuddling....and all before we even have said anything to each other. We're smelly, sweaty, and rolling around on the bed pinning each other. It was a fabulous 750th match. Then it was time to get up and get cleaned up, ready to get on with our lives.
We will most likely do another all nighter again in the next couple months, but I'm glad we could make this match my 750th.
Lately.....

It's been a little while since I wrote a blog, so it's time to talk about some highlights in my wonderful world of wrestling. My latest match was recently with a Latino who answered my Craig's List ad. The guy was a newbie and quite muscular, though smaller than I am. I showed him some holds and he turned out to be quite strong. After we struggled, we cuddled, and enjoyed holding each other. He actually told me at the end to push him because he needed to be pushed.
Also, I recently had my 14th match with "Alan", a tough guy who is about 50 lbs lighter than I am who is strong, muscular, and determined to make me tap. He has yet to succeed at the tapping. I also have continued wrestling with my favorite jobber "Ron", whom I recently had my 86th match with and wrestling my "mentor", "Stanley". Stanley and I now have a cool ending ritual after more than 60 matches together.
The happiest occurrence of all was my recent reconnection with "Jim-Bob". After not having wrestled alone for a couple years we found an arrangement that would allow us to wrestle alone again. We did it the way we used to. We began by hugging and embracing in silence, then we began to struggle. We ended the session with a boxing match, which he won, of course.
The wrestling is great, though last week I finished an 11 day drought of no wrestling, but it being winter, the drought was due to various illnesses. But I am now back in action. If you are in southern New England, let's brawl!
A Most Awesome 5 years!!!!

Today marks the 5 year anniversary of my very first match. It was July 5th, 2011 when I had my first wrestling match. I remember it very well. The guy traveled almost 2 hours to come wrestle and brought his puzzle mats with him. We went at 20 minute intervals...20 minutes brawling then 20 minute break. He was pretty good, though I hadn't seriously wrestled in many years at that point. I used muscles that I never knew existed and boy, was I paying for it for the next several days. I vowed never again, but when the pain subsided I began itching for another one.
That first month was interesting. For a newbie at that time I had quite a few matches that first month. There were 5 different opponents. The first guy I never saw again. The second guy is active on these sites, but his availability to wrestle is sketchy at best. Every time I contact him these days he's got either a trip planned or some charity or theater event planned or very busy with his elderly parents. The third guy was also very strong and did a number on me, but I never heard from him again after that. His profile came down a few months later. The fourth guy only lasted about 15 minutes, but we was quite strong. We fought a few more times in the last five years, though not recently. I actually talked to him on the phone recently after I texted him and he told me he had arthritis and his father was dying, so no more fighting for him. Sad, he was strong and skilled. And the last guy, I still joke about. We wrestled several times over the next 3 years or so. It was so sad...he was strong, he knew his moves, and he was nearby. But he had issues. He always smelled of liquor. And the last time we rumbled, he showed up in pantyhose. Uh, even all the gay guys I've wrestled steer clear of that! I heard from him recently and he seemed to admit that he has a bit of a problem, and would like to wrestle in a group match sometime. Time will tell if that ever happens.
The remainder of the calendar year had it's ups and downs. During that time I wrestled with a few guys that I wrestled many times after that, 3 I still wrestle with up to this day...Pecs44..who was always pushing me to wrestle my hardest and increase my endurance, Rassle4fun...who showed me the wild and crazy side of wrestling and how much pure fun you can have with it, and Ringmaster. On the down side, I had 2 injuries during that time, I had my first (of two) groin injury which kept me wrestling on the light side for a few months and my first wrestling-related back injury. Both kept me out of commission for a couple weeks each.
In the months that followed I wrestled many other guys, but it was before my first anniversary that I wrestled for the first time...Twisterman!!!! He has been the guy that I have wrestled with more than anyone else. 12 percent of all my matches have been with him, and I have enjoyed every one of them. He's a great wrestler and a great friend! There are others that I give honorable mention to....Txbigb, Average Joe, Kevinj8664, RIwrestlebuddy, Rugbybrawn45 (who also tries to push me to work harder), Adonisnick, MAwrestler, DB (no longer on this site), JK (not on this site), and RD (also not on this site). Some of these others I don't wrestle with anymore or only once or twice a year, but I have had such a blast with all of them, they really do have a place in my wrestling heart.
Well, that's it. I actually have a match scheduled for my "anniversary", a small jobber from NJ who likes to be trampled on but gives great massages. Meeting him at his hotel room. Should be a fun time.
Peace out to all lovers of this sport!!!

Meetfighters has Globalfight running scared! They have a few new policies. One of them for basic members like myself allowing 2 free emails per day for basics. Meetfighters is still unlimited, and it's quite obvious they are losing guys to this page in large numbers. Meetfighters is still far more user friendly and they don't flash so much pornography at you like Global does. Keep up the good work Meetfighters! You've proven that you can beat the other sites with you slow-and-steady-wins-the-race approach to wrestling.
