Chloro is hot stuff, but it takes so long to work that it’s not effective as a KO method. Unfortunately. But what it is very good for is when your man is already sleepered or choked, just unconscious. A Chloro rag over his face will prevent him from waking up. He’ll look peaceful and serene as long as you want.
Dude- we are fully aware of risks - stop being such a negative presence on this string. If you have something else to add - fine - but if you're just judging and lecturing- take it elsewhere.
Chloroform, if inhaled in very small doses, probably in excess of 5 minutes can keep a person unconscious from 20 minutes to 2 hours or even more, depending on how concentrated the dose is. Even when the person recovers, they may have symptoms like disorientation, vomiting, headache etc. If the dose is too concentrated, the person inhaling chloroform may die. This is why chloroform is considered too dangerous to be used as an anesthetic even when administered by qualified anesthetists.
So there you go guys - medically unqualified, probably over excited, using unknown qualities in unknown quantities of the liquid in an unmeasured way. What could possibly go wrong?
yeah, no, choking out by itself is dangerous enough and if there is a cardiac event or stroke or whatever from choking you want to know it right away so you can deal with it. Masking a medical emergency with chloroform is incredibly irresponsible and idiotic.

No, I don't think you do. Chloroform on it's own is often fatal. This is very seriously playing with fire.
