As someone who loves scissor play, both sides of it but more on the sub side, I have employed several strategies over the years with varied success. While, of course, meetfighters should be the gold standard of meetup places people actually into scissors are well spaced often several state lines away.
I do want to make a side note that a lot of the time people on here expect others to travel to them. Especially if you're a sub/jobber, I believe that you are probably more enthusiastic to get into the experience than Dom/heels will be so it makes no sense to expect that it is the Dominant who is actually going to go out of their way to play with you. I also find it rude to reach out to others with no intention to travel to them and demand that they come to you. And trust me, no one likes the, hey I wish we were closer bs. If there is too much distance and you want to play with someone, go to them, don't complain about them not coming to you. I do recommend focusing on guys with high meetup/recommendations if you're going to travel. The exception to this is obviously if they are already going to be visiting your area.
Outside of meetfighters I have found recon to be dead in the water, has been for quite some time and fetlife has never really been a way to meet people. Back in the day, Craigslist was not that horrible. On grindr I find I scare most people by being open about it and with sniffies, if people are interested they are interested in 20 seconds of play and jumping right into sex.
So I am curious, what strategies have you tried? What works for you, what doesn't?
