oh and if your going to go the route of polluting the planet, think about this......you drive a car?.. if its diesel or petrol, how much damage are YOU doing to the planet?.. and if you think your okay because you drive an electic vehicle, think on about the damage caused to make the batteries for those things. before you start preaching about a.i. ruining the planet why don't you remove the plank from your own eyes?
Oh wow, you really got me there! It hadn't occurred to me that people use energy for basic transportation needs, and that's the same degree of necessity as having a machine learning model churn out videos of dancing cats. What a zinger!
Seriously, everything uses energy. We're both using energy just interacting on this website. The point is, how much energy, and for what purpose? In general we balance the cost vs. the benefit. The energy cost of generative AI tools is massive and rapidly growing, and what is the benefit? So one can pretend they can create "art" (which itself is based on plagiarized material)?
You admitted you're being selfish, and I commend you for at least being truthful and self-reflective there. But I hope you'll give some more thought to the information I shared.
Same, I think it's great! Now I can create an image exactly the way I want with the features I want so that it "floats my boat" ;) It's always funny to me how when new technology is introduced that all the naysayers and doomsdayers start with the self-righteous preaching about how it's going to be the end of the world. I remember my uncle telling me the same thing happened in the early 1980s when PCs were introduced and ppl said everyone would be out of a job in 5 years lol. History totally repeats itself, and of course the outcome is nowhere near all the doom and gloom that was predicted. If you don't like it, don't use it, simple as that.
In other words, human creativity is DEAD. A machine creates for you. I don't want to be a brain surgeon, but I guess with AI I can definitely do that now.
When I run across people enthusiastically throwing themselves into these generative AI tools, I wonder whether they are ignorant of the negative elements, or if they are aware and just don't care.
Generative AI tools may be fun to play with and seem like magic, but they have some major issues. Mainly:
1) They are often trained on plagiarized content (books, photographs, original human-generated artwork, etc.) and the creators of these works are neither consulted, asked for permission, or compensated. It's corporate-backed plagiarism on a massive scale.
2) The energy and resources required to train and run these models are astronomical and only going to get worse. Massive data centers are being built and planned which are competing with regular people for energy from their power grids, as well as fresh water. Some communities are losing the battle to new data centers in their area, and in some cases there are plans to build nuclear reactors built SOLELY to power these data centers!
The generative AI tools that consume the most power are the ones that generate images and video.
3) They are crowding out human-generated creative content, making it even harder for people to get jobs that were already incredibly competitive.
I've made sooooo many, I should probably create a folder on my profile of just AI wrestling creations. With the generative AI I use, the censorship is very lax.
Here is something SFW
Please log in to view gallery photos.
Sometimes you can type βnew imageβ after something has been censored and it will still generate them. Or start with general image generation then get more refined and it seems to allow that. But yes, it is atrial and error exercise in patience sometimes.
Just amazing.
As long as they are marked AI, I think they are great.
These are especially good because they seem familiar, like guys I would have wanted to wrestle in the 1970s. And beefy!
I don't like ai generated videos or pictures. The issue is in the future you can't see the different between ai generated pictures and normal pictures. Also here on meetfighters have the first people ai generated pics in the profile what is in my opinion fake.
You are absolutely correct. This AI crap is going to make "fakes" a million times more ingenious because they can create all sorts of pic fantasies that aren't real. Get ready for living in a fake AI world.
I think we should work together when we see ai generated pictures and should mark them as forbidden when we check the new pictures. Or it should give a new label where everyone can see this picture is ai generated.
This AI technology is absolutely amazing. Iβve been playing with it and Iβve generated some interesting content that caters to my taste and perhaps yours too.
Do you have a repository of AI wrestlers youβd like to share with the Meetfighters community. It doesnβt only need to be about wrestling or wrestlers, Martial arts, etc.
Try googleβs Gemini product; xβs grok tool; dream machine is very cool and so is https://hailuoai.video/ . Take your time playing with these. Most do require subscriptions but can be had for as little as $10/month. Basically you describe what youβre looking forβ¦βcreate image of a hairy father and son pro wrestling team that have won a match and are congratulating each otherβ β¦ then refine from there such as make them older, make one have a black eye, make them wear speedos and wrestle barefoot.
These tools still try to censor content but whoβd ever imagine another man would love to see a bloodied snd roughed up father/som tags team? π€ It could get filtered but shouldnβt.
Have fun and please open a blog to share your creations with us.

And if you already knew, and use it anyway, well... we probably aren't going to be friends.
