That is correct. Sayrob and Andy had done it for 28 years (1993-2011). Plus, Sayrob told me that costs were continuing to increase and he didn't want to have to pass on those costs to the wrestlers. There was an attempt in 2014 to resurrect the event but the two guys who tried this lived in the NYC area and it just doesn't work if you are not living close by.
Camp Wrestlefest has been planned in the spirit of Hillside and is scheduled for next month. We have partnered with a newer gay owned campground, Camp Out Poconos. Check out the event page on here, https://www.meetfighters.com/events/1416 for more info.
