I've literally only stumbled across this group today - it sounds great to me, and I read what you put above with dismay. But not sadly with total surprise. It's my experience too that there are a lot of members of Mf (as there were of the old Globalfight) who enjoy the site as eye candy and erotic stimulation but little more; there are also those who dream of wrestling in real life as we put out here but just find it too transgressive to cope with just now - they aren't ready yet, although hopefully some will at some point in the future. That latter point is not much use to you, but at least the goodwill is there. Then there are those of us who will happily get up to Pippa's when we can, but live 300 miles away and so can only make certain weekends -; the perennial difficulty of two working men trying to find a date they can both make. So, with all these hoops to jump through, real meetings are going to be far sparcer in number than we'd like. But I would ask you not to despair. I'm glad you've set this group up and would like to use it and meet and wrestle with the likes of you. You know exactly what I find so exciting and meaningful about classic give-and-take WoS wrestling and I would like to support this group as I can.
As to your deafness, when I was working abroad I had a great local wrestling partner whose deafness was profound. We communicated fine, and most particularly so via the language of pro wrestling on the mat.

First up, I’ve gotta say, it's really cool of you to lay your cards on the table about what's been bugging you. It's not easy to step into the ring of opinions, especially in a group like ours that's as tight-knit as a well-executed Boston crab. I get your drift, and it's on point—our group's main event is to bond over our love for pro wrestling gear and the world of WoS scenarios.
It's a bummer to know you've been feeling like the odd man out, especially when we've got a community here that could fill a stadium. Every wrestler's got their own finishing move, and it's key for us to remember that we're all in this together, whether we're going for the title or just putting on a show with some spandex trunks and scissor locks.
Your take on the squared circle is spot-on, and I'm with you in the corner—this place should be as welcoming as a well-placed arm bar. We're not here to body slam each other's feelings, but to share the passion for the sport that brings us together.
Let's rally the troops and create some buzz with some smack-talking sessions or maybe throw down some ideas for events that'll have us all doing elbow drops of excitement! The more we all get in on the action, the better our group's going to look in the standings.
Looking forward to hitting the mat with everyone's thoughts on this! Let's keep it clean, keep it safe, and keep it fun!

I realise that the following might ruffle the feathers of the group, but here goes.
At the turn of this year, I set up this Group. I did so because I wanted to meet guys who share my fetish for wearing pro wrestling gear and acting out WoS fantasies/scenarios. But, despite the fact that the Group has nearly 140 members, I have had little interaction with fellow members since then. It seems that most guys here want to have a 'competitive' match or to 'take things further' with me, or expect me to travel miles and miles at the drop of a hat. There are also guys here who seem reluctant to wrestle with me, perhaps because of my age or my deafness. I've had guys say to me that the sight of my hairy body put them off.
Also (this is my opinion and mine only), it is a myth that all gay wrestlers also want sex or any kind of intimacy when wrestling. I know I am not alone in saying that during a bout, I just focus on wrestling, that's all.
The idea of WoS roleplay is to encourage wrestlers to do safe and sane and gentle wrestling in the spirit of WoS, without causing any serious pain or any injury. And this activity enables members to feel free and confident when dressing up in trunks and boots or any other pro attire.
Come on, guys! Let's make an effort to support this group and seek prospective opponents here.
