I found some liquid coconut oil on Ama*on and bought a big bottle. It was perfect to oil each other up and the plastic sheeting over the mat. Might have used too much but the slippery fun and feeling didn’t compare to any thing else I’ve used. Had plenty on my eyes and hair and face with no issue or problems. I’d def use it again.
I wrestled in olive oil a ciuple of times and foynd it more slippery and enjoyable than baby oil. Didnt wash off badly and i wrwstled naked was good for the skin. The romans used to wash with olivw oil and scrape ot off!!
I noticed that no one is saying a peep about Olive oil, despite its long, proud history of being used in wrestling in Greece and especially Turkey.
But I think I know why y'all don't like it.... It's impossible to wash out. My singlet STILL smells like olive oil ever since I wrestled Inferno Tiger 2 (now he's Flamming Tiger)
Wow, I've not had an issue with odor. Maybe it's a variety or brand.
I've oil-wrestled on sheets that washed well afterward, but the times we've oiled up we were naked.

Oh liquid huh? I though most coconut oil was more like a cream. More solid and turns liquid in the heat as you apply it...

I thought so too but found it much easier to deal with obviously bc you didn’t have to melt it

Maybe it was the fabric of my singlet that locked it in.

Agreed. Have used baby oil, olive and coconut. Prefer the smell of ease of use of coconut.

I'm thinking of something that doesn't come off quickly and is very shiny.
