I think Duke Keomuka used the same concept with his sleeper hold on Ricky Starr in this vintage pro match. Duke straddles Ricky and presses one (or both) of his hands on Ricky's neck, using his legs to apply more pressure until Ricky goes out. Picture attached. Sleeper starts at about 12:35 in the video.
