Grappling with Disability

Ich freue mich sehr, dass es diese Gruppe gibt! Bin selbst Betroffener und weiß, wie schwer es mit einem körperlichen Handicap ist, Partner für Ringkämpfe zu finden. Von denen, die tatsächlich mit mir auf die Matte gegangen sind, hat es aber noch niemand bereut. Und natürlich muss kein Mann ein schlechtes Gewissen haben, wenn er gegen mich gewinnt. Niederlagen erlebt jeder Ringer ohne Handicap schließlich auch.

THANK YOU, Alf, for running ‘Grappling with Disability’! Over 70 wrestlers in the group—WOW, that’s incredible! Even though I’m disabled too, I still LOVE wrestling and am a massive fan, especially of pro wrestling. Let’s get a topic going about wrestling experiences—or anything at all—and blow it up! Let’s go full blast, front-row style!

Thanks to Alf Nelson and all the others who have joined this group! I am grateful to discover another great aspect of this site: A group for men who wrestle but have a certain disability!

I am 65 and have arthritis, back issues and also heart disease.... not a great set of circumstances but there it is!

I still admire and am a fan of wrestlers & wrestling, in many forms! I haven't had a wrestling match in many years (due to a heart attack and other health issues), but if I could find another guy or guys who would respect limits and keep it sane & safe for both of us, I'd give it a go!

Nice profile too! But, what does "WoS" mean when referring to Brit Pro Wrestling? (I'm a real yankee and don't quite get the meaning...!)

I am also a Yankee I'm a Marylander WOS the Brits, World of Wrestling on TV.
Mostly standing till the pin.

WoS os World of Sport wrestling. It used to be on TV every Saturday afternoon. Not mainly standing. Lots of ground wrestling too. Technical wrestling. Very big in the 70s and 80s
